Collaboration tools alone can’t create more connected workers.
But there’s increasing research that shows that collaboration tools can have a major impact on productivity and engagement. Slack partnered with Kelton Research for a qualitative, large-scale study to discover what knowledge workers need to feel empowered, collaborative, and equipped to do their best work. Three major trends emerged from this report: transparency, relationships, and tools. For transparency, workers described craving a deeper partnership with company leaders, and a better understanding of strategic and tactical decision-making. As for relationships, workers want more and deeper bonds with colleagues. And for tools, workers need better ways to communicate and collaborate that support faster, more informed decision-making. In the report, we dive deep into each of these three key needs to how every business leader can increase impact and drive employee satisfaction.
